Plucking stars from TikTok and Youtube makes a ton of sense. Why overindex on books (just think about it, young adults and books!) when there's plenty of net-new IP being created, funneled and distributed on the social networks everyday? And most of this content is comedy genre.
Excellent stuff - your writing and perspective is objective, rational and spot-on.
It’s easy to criticize, but to me there are only a few “container” brands, brands that hold lots of IP or services, that the US consumer understands. Disney, Google, Amazon. MAX will not likely be one of them. I can see the desire to create a one signup experience with lots of content but you really need a great UX and as you mentioned MAX is not it right now. I enjoyed your take on the content strategy, like the IP development one you did on web3 a few months ago.
I now want you to go deep on all the studios and platforms please. Thanks.
Ha. Most are too uninteresting but maybe Disney. Maybe Amazon!
Not qualified to comment on this one, other than a bit dry and long. Though, good to see you back writing!
Fair enough! They do vary a bit.

Variety is the spice of life ( so my wife tells me) look forward to next one!
