I appreciate the optimism coupled with data (that also has a wide net to be inclusive of voice and creativity).

Great analysis! Agree with everything you said going forward and of course “luck is when opportunity meet preparation”.

You are absolutely correct. The budgeting has to fit the market and the audience for many of these films is too small to support it. We have been building a studio to bring to life 18th and 19th century Gothic literature that has not been made into film already. Our first film is Brown's Wieland. We even make our own period clothing. Our goal is to find a way with small dedicated crew combined with an effort to build our own acting troupe to bring these films to life. Our logo is History, Mystery and Memory, the three aspects of all great stories. Love to send you some info as we are working to be different. A updated version of Hammer films, but with a Corman view towards budgeting. I believe there is a market for very human villains and heroes but it must be done within budget. The only aspect I believe was missed was an adult view of the world is missing from these films. They are currently tedious and always say the same message. They are far too detached from real human experience for the vast majority. I grew up in poverty on a family farm and have worked with drug addicts on the streets. It's far different than what is being presented in so many films. Thank you for this informative post. I read about it on Facebook by a friend that follows you and I have wanted to find a way to reach out since you left Amazon as I was a fan of the bold choices, if not always the shows.
